Alytus city information portal
A modern municipal website developed according to Human-Centred Design principles. The platform helps residents find information quickly, use municipal services and access current documents, news and other public information. Its design and content structure are based on the city brand identity, “Myliu Alytų”.

The challenge
The task
Alytus City Municipality wanted to transform its website into a convenient everyday tool for residents, businesses and visitors. The objective was not only to modernise the design, but also to review the information architecture, simplify content discovery and improve the user experience.
The project began with an in-depth analysis of residents’ needs. Website traffic data, municipal services and resident enquiries were reviewed; focus groups were held with municipal staff; user scenarios were developed and prototypes were tested. This resulted in an information structure based on real user needs rather than the institution’s internal organisational structure.

The result
Alytus City Municipality website
We created a web platform designed to help residents find the information and municipal services they need as quickly as possible. Communication was given the same attention as technology. The website’s content, visual identity and tone of voice were aligned with the “Myliu Alytų” city brand, creating a coherent and recognisable digital experience for residents. The platform allows municipal specialists to manage content independently, build new pages from preconfigured components and update information quickly while maintaining a consistent website structure and design.
Project results
The project modernised the Alytus City Municipality website, www.alytus.lt, introducing a new design and CMS, migrating content from the previous website and creating thematic sub-sites. It also delivered modules for news, event calendars, documents and search, FAQs, online forms and surveys, organisational structure, galleries, discrepancy management and administration. The website was adapted for mobile devices and users with disabilities, with SEO, security, access-permission management and activity auditing implemented.
