Klaipėda University Website
A modern web platform developed for Klaipėda University. It brings study opportunities, research, international projects, university news, events and digital services for students, staff and prospective applicants together in one environment. The platform provides convenient access to current information and supports effective communication with the university’s different audiences.

The challenge
The task
Klaipėda University needed a modern web platform that reflected its identity and served as the main information channel for students, applicants, the academic community and international partners.
The platform needed to bring together different areas of university activity, including study programmes, admissions information, research, faculties, institutes, projects, events, news and other continuously updated content. Equally important was a clear information architecture that would help users find relevant content quickly, regardless of their needs.
The platform also had to be flexible enough for different university departments to manage their own information while preserving a consistent structure, design and user experience.
Main features
Study information
Study programme catalogue, admissions information, applicant journey, faculty and institute profiles, and other information for prospective and current students.
University communications
News, event calendar, announcements, international project information, research achievements and communication with the university community.

The result
Klaipėda University Website
We developed a modern web platform that became Klaipėda University’s primary channel for communications and digital services. It brings study, research, international activity and university community information together in a single, easily administered system. The project focused not only on the technical delivery of the university’s information platform, but also on analysing and restructuring information about the university, academic programmes, faculties, institutes, departments, student services and other information flows into a clear user-oriented content architecture. The technical specification defined the platform’s purpose as presenting relevant university information to students and the wider community in a convenient format. The project began with an assessment of the existing situation, functional and logical architecture, and detailed structural design. The platform has a modular architecture that can evolve with the university, allowing new digital services to be integrated and the user experience to be improved without changing the core system structure.
Project results
During the design phase, we developed a unified structure for ‘General Information’ and ‘My KU’, analysed the needs of different target groups, and held discussions and solution-alignment sessions with university representatives, with particular attention to findability, navigation and ease of use. Focus groups and usability testing were also conducted with target users, and the findings informed improvements to the content structure, interface logic and design solutions. Following analysis and design, we developed and deployed a modular university information platform with a CMS, ‘My KU’ workspace, study, news, events, contacts, booking, forms, multimedia and other service functionality, together with planned integrations with university information systems. The solution was first deployed and tested in a test environment, followed by iterative functional testing, pilot operation, acceptance testing, production launch and staff training. Warranty support was provided after handover.
