Bank of Lithuania Client Register
The Bank of Lithuania Client Register is a centralised self-service and customer management system for securely registering, identifying and serving individuals and legal entities using the Bank of Lithuania’s cash services.
The system brings together customer registration, KYC/AML checks, account and transaction history management, PIN generation for coin collection machines, notifications and integrations with core Bank of Lithuania and external systems. It automates customer service processes, reduces administrative effort and risk, and gives customers faster, more convenient and more transparent access to services through a single digital environment.
The challenge
The task
The primary challenge was to create a single Bank of Lithuania Client Register to replace fragmented customer registration, identity and due-diligence checks, and cash-service accounting with one automated, secure and integrated system.
The solution had to bring together different customer types, KYC/AML/PEP checks, transaction history, coin-machine PIN and limit management, and numerous internal and external systems within one consistent workflow.
The ultimate objective was to ensure that the Bank of Lithuania’s Cash Department services are provided only to verified customers, while reducing manual work and service costs and improving the customer experience.

The result
Client Register
The solution gives the Bank of Lithuania centralised control of customer data and supports its use across multiple operational processes. The system integrates with national authentication and data-exchange platforms as well as the Bank’s internal systems, enabling secure and reliable data exchange. Integrations with external registers and anti-money-laundering systems automate the verification and updating of customer data. Process automation supports efficient transaction management, auditability and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Project results
The project covered the analysis of the Bank of Lithuania Client Register’s requirements and processes, detailed functional and technical design, system architecture, user roles, data structures, UI/UX interfaces and integration workflows. Customer self-service and administration environments were developed, with integrations implemented for VIISP, KYC, JAR, KDIS, coin collection machines, monetos.lb.lt, SMS Gateway, LB.lt and Post.lt. Technical infrastructure and test and production environments were prepared; deployment, integration and functional testing, and pilot operation were completed. System and administration documentation and training materials were produced, user training was delivered, and post-launch technical support, incident resolution and warranty maintenance were provided.
