Official website of the Bank of Lithuania

A modern web platform developed for the Bank of Lithuania as its primary digital channel for information and online services. The website serves a diverse range of audiences—including residents, financial market participants, journalists, the academic community, investors and numismatists—providing convenient access to public services, open data, analytical tools and current economic information.

In 2018, the project received a Central Banking Awards accolade for the world’s best central bank website.

The challenge

The task

The Bank of Lithuania needed a modern web platform that would bring together a large volume of information, a wide range of digital services and advanced data analysis tools within a single system. The solution had to serve very different audiences—from residents looking for information about currency exchange or credit history to financial market specialists analysing statistical indicators and legislation.

A key part of the project involved more than simply presenting information: the platform also had to incorporate interactive services, including exchange-rate and inflation calculators, statistical data analysis tools, financial market participant registers, document search, subscriptions, event calendars, public consultations, online forms and other frequently used functions.

User experience was a major priority. The website architecture was developed according to Human-Centred Design principles, ensuring accessible information, clear navigation and convenient use across devices.

The result

Information portal for the Bank of Lithuania

We created one of Lithuania’s largest and most feature-rich public-sector web platforms, which became the Bank of Lithuania’s primary digital channel for the public, financial market participants and other target audiences. The platform combines high-volume information management, advanced analytical tools and digital services. Visitors can use interactive calculators, analyse statistical data, search documents, subscribe to relevant information and access a range of self-service functions. The solution places particular emphasis on information architecture, user behaviour analysis and ease of use. This approach resulted in a platform recognised internationally as the world’s best central bank website.
