Vilnius University Library booking system
A room and facility booking system developed for Vilnius University Library, enabling students, lecturers and library visitors to conveniently reserve individual and group workspaces, reading rooms and other library facilities. The platform automates the booking process, reduces administrative workload and supports more efficient resource management.
The challenge
The task
Vilnius University Library needed a modern booking system to replace manual room-reservation processes and allow users to plan their library visits independently.
The solution had to provide a convenient booking process for different user groups, clear visibility of availability, real-time reservation management and consistent operation across multiple library locations. Integration with the university’s authentication system and automated user notifications were also important requirements.
The result is a reliable booking platform that helps optimise the use of library workspaces and allows visitors to reserve their preferred space quickly online.

The result
Vilnius University Library booking system
We created a booking platform that allows library visitors to reserve workspaces and other library facilities quickly and conveniently online. The system is designed around a simple user experience: bookings can be completed in just a few steps, while availability information is presented clearly and updated in real time. The platform integrates with the university’s authentication infrastructure, allowing users to access booking services with their existing accounts. Administration tools enable library staff to manage bookable spaces, booking rules and availability efficiently. The flexible architecture makes it possible to expand the range of bookable resources, adapt booking logic for different library locations and introduce additional functionality in the future.
